Target is a 130,000-square-foot retail store in Rushmore Crossing in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Target moved out of the Rushmore Mall in Rapid City to move into Rushmore Crossing to increase square footage. Dream Design was responsible for the new site’s Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture. This site had specific challenges, including laying out 571 parking stalls, coordinating with the existing Rushmore Crossing Shopping Center Layout, and coordinating the retailer’s specific needs with the City of Rapid City ordinances.
Target is located in Rushmore Crossing, a 125-acre commercial development located south of Interstate 90 in-between Exit 60 and Exit 61 in Rapid City. It is served by an entrance off LaCrosse Street and East North Street (US Hwy 14 & 16).
